Digital Explorers Day – Toowoomba QLD

On the 16th of April 2016, in South East Queensland’s beautiful Toowoomba region, Code Club presented our Digital Explorers Day. This event was made possible by the support of the Telstra foundation and Toowoomba’s highly renowned Empire Theatre. We were able to bring over 150 community members together to help us celebrate and raise awareness for local technology and innovation focussed companies.

Throughout the day our attendees participated in robot building and learn to code activities. Both parents and children enjoyed visiting alternate universes and printing 3D models. Feedback on the day was overwhelmingly positive as parents were ecstatic about the informative versatility of our event. They told us how wonderful it was to have an inclusive and educational alternative for children in a primarily sports oriented region.

Our Digital Explorers Day event was a roaring success thanks to both presenters and guests. This was a fantastic opportunity to see the Toowoomba community interacting with the emerging technologies and we are excited to see the regions bright future flourish.
